Some love stories are best understood in motion. En Jia and Xin Lerk have known each other since secondary school — half a lifetime of inside jokes, shared friends, and the particular ease that only comes from growing up alongside someone. On film, that ease is impossible to miss.
The morning at Fort Canning Park was bathed in the kind of golden hour light that cinematographers spend careers chasing. We let it do its work. En Jia, never one to underdress, brought real intention to every detail of his look. Their wedding, accented throughout with deliberate touches of yellow, had the feel of something deeply considered, a day that looked exactly the way they wanted it to. But the moment that stayed with us was quieter than all of it: amid the energy of the JW Marriott lunch reception, they stopped. Handwritten notes, read to each other. En Jia teared. The room kept moving, but for a few seconds, it was just the two of them.
