Some couples have a history you can actually feel. It’s not just in the way they look at each other, but in the easy shorthand between them, the way laughter comes without effort. En Jia and Xin Lerk have spent half their lives together, since secondary school, and it shows in the best possible way: a comfort so deep it reads as joy.
The morning began at Fort Canning Park, where the light arrived golden and unhurried, exactly the kind that makes you want to slow everything down. We did. En Jia, a natural fashionista, had thought through every detail of his outfit, and it showed. We gave those details the attention they deserved. Their wedding palette, punctuated by bobs of yellow, was beautifully curated throughout.
At the JW Marriott, amid the energy of the lunch reception, they carved out a quiet moment with handwritten notes read to each other while the room hummed around them. En Jia teared. We weren’t surprised. People who have loved each other that long tend to mean it. Goofiness, spontaneity, and a whole lot of heart. This one was a privilege to shoot.
